Delete account

You can permanently delete your Nest Chef account at any time. Deleting your account removes your personal information and your private content, and cannot be undone. This page explains how to delete your account and exactly what happens to your data.

How to delete your account

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Open my settings.
3. Under Account, select Delete account and confirm.

If you cannot sign in

If you have forgotten your password, reset it first, then sign in and follow the steps above to delete your account.

What is deleted

• Your private recipes.
• Your meal plans and your votes on dishes.
• Your household membership. Invitations you sent are withdrawn and invitations you received are declined. If you are the head of your household, another member becomes the head.
• Your personal details, including your name, email address, and password, are erased so the account can no longer be signed in to.

What is kept

Your public recipes remain in the shared library so that other members can still use them. They stay attached to your now anonymized account and are no longer identifiable as yours.
